Biographical / Historical

Buckeye Girls State is an annual program for high school juniors, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, to teach young women about government and encourage their ongoing involvement in politics.The program assigns each student to different government roles and uses a hands-on approach to simulate the American political process.
