Scope and Contents The collection includes 34 photographs of Adena, the Georgian-style home of Thomas Worthington in Chillicothe, Ohio, as it appeared in September 1946 prior to restoration. The photographs, taken by William H. Shupe, include views of the interior and exterior of the house, the grounds, gardens, orchards and outbuildings. Scope and Contents Collection consists of photographs documenting archaeological excavations of mounds at the Fort Ancient site; the archaeologists and workers who conducted the excavations; buildings and other geographic features of the area surrounding the mounds. The Fort Ancient photographs were removed from an album and numbered in the order in which they were originally arranged. Additionally, there are views of Serpent Mound, Seip Mound, Flint Ridge, and their surroundings.

Scope and Contents Program for the ceremony dedicating the Ohio Historical Marker honoring Marion A. Ross for his participation in the Chattanooga Railroad Expedition, known as Andrew's Raid, during the Civil War. Ross was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor in 1863.

Scope and Contents The Seip Mound Earthworks Collection consists of photographs of the explorations of 1906 and 1908 by the Society under the direction of William C. Mills. Taken before, during, and after Mills excavation of the earthworks, these images are rich in detail revealing period archaeological techniques, unearthed artifacts and graves, as well as views of the surrounding area. In addition, a map of the site surveyed ca. 1848 by Ephraim Squier is included.
