Collection consists of photographs documenting archaeological excavations of mounds at the Fort Ancient site; the archaeologists and workers who conducted the excavations; buildings and other geographic features of the area surrounding the mounds. The Fort Ancient photographs were removed from an album and numbered in the order in which they were originally arranged. Additionally, there are views of Serpent Mound, Seip Mound, Flint Ridge, and their surroundings.
