Scope and Contents The Seip Mound Earthworks Collection consists of photographs of the explorations of 1906 and 1908 by the Society under the direction of William C. Mills. Taken before, during, and after Mills excavation of the earthworks, these images are rich in detail revealing period archaeological techniques, unearthed artifacts and graves, as well as views of the surrounding area. In addition, a map of the site surveyed ca. 1848 by Ephraim Squier is included.
