Scope and Contents
An unaddressed letter signed by Governor Jonathan Return Meigs. The letter asks the sheriff of an unidentified county to cause elections to be held to fill the position of John S. Edwards representative of the sixth congressional district of Ohio. The letter is dated March 2, 1813. The original document has been removed for reasons of security.
