Scope and Contents The collection consists of photographs and a postcard of Adena, the Georgian-style home of Thomas Worthington and his family near Chillicothe, Ohio. The photographs document the exterior of the home and the grounds from the early 1900's to the 1960's. A photograph and a postcard depict the Adena entrance hall. There are also two photographs of the Ohio Building at the Jamestown Exposition of 1907, which was a replica of Adena.

Scope and Contents Adena, the home of Thomas Worthington of Chillicothe, was built in 1806-1807 from plans drawn by Benjamin H. Latrobe. The stonework on the house was done by two Virginians, John and Presley Morris, and the woodwork and other timber construction by George McCormick and Conrad Christman, both cabinetmakers of Chillicothe, the latter of whom was the owner of the builders guides by Abraham Swan and Asher Benjamin.
